MaX GAGNON

Max Gagnon is a New Hampshire native who graduated in May of 2017 with a BFA in Illustration from The New Hampshire Institute of Art (currently The Institute of Art and Design at New England College). He works as a freelance illustrator, and painter, creating unique/colorful pieces and commissions for local and national media alike. He utilizes traditional media techniques for his work such as pen and ink, gouache, acrylic, along with digital media.

Max has long been inspired by comic book art, painted portraits, and film/television. Influenced by such creators as Rich Pellegrino, Ryan O’Rourke, Magge Gagliardi, Alex Ross, Drew Struzan, Mark Bagley, Basil Gogos, Jack Kirby, John Buscema Sr., and many others. Then growing up in the 90’s and 2000’s, he had a strong fascination with cartoon animation at that time from channels like Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network. Along with more underappreciated Disney work, such as Atlantis The Lost Empire and Treasure Planet.

In his free time he enjoys drawing, painting, reading, watching movies/tv, hanging out with friends, traveling, sampling micro breweries, and discussing anything Halloween related.
